It's divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. Namchi is a district headquarters of South Sikkim and lies 78 km from Gangtok. One can enjoy stunning views of Mt. Khangchendzonga range and Rangit valley from this beautiful place that invokes inner peace, solace, and peace of mind in visitors.

Day 1

NJP - GANGTOK

Gangtok Hills

Pick up from NJP railway station car parking area. Transfer to Gangtok. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 2

GANGTOK

After breakfast ready to for Sightseeing, Permits are made one day prior to visit. This is nearly 48 kilometers drive and takes nearly 2 hours. Pick up from Gangtok Vajra stand, permit collect from Sikkim Tourism center, Visit to Tsomgo / Changu Lake & New Baba Mandir, cool, serene water and the picturesque beauty, Tsomgo lake is one of the holy lake of the region - A temple of Lord Shiva is built on the lakeside - Primula flowers and other alpine plantation provide an immaculate beauty to this place – From here you can visit Nathula pass (optional cost-depends on permit) Drop at Vajra stand. Evening free to stroll /walk around M G Road or the Local Market. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 3

GANGTOK - LACHUNG

Pick up from Gangtok Vajra stand around 10:00am. Vehicle will collect the permit from Vajra stand, Sikkim Tourism Centre. Start driving to Lachung via Chungthang. Sightseeing at Singhik view point, Seven Sister water falls. On arrival at Lachung check in to the hotel by evening. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 4

LACHUNG - GANGTOK

Yumthang Valley

After breakfast proceed to Yumthung Valley visit (locate 11,700 ft high altitude).You can visit Zero Point (locate 15,500 ft high altitude) - optional cost, on spot payment only (if permit allow). Back to Gangtok by evening. Drop at Vajra stand by evening. Recheck in Gangtok hotel. Overnight at Gangtok.

All Hotels was excellent. Agency coordination was also good. My complaint on the driver only, name Rajesh Sikhawat was not good person, his talking way was not well always doing unnecessary arguments. Mr Santanu from SUNBIRD always trying to control his way but he didn't listen to anyone. Otherwise SUNBIRD services was good.
