We begin our bike ride in Radovčiči, 25 km south of Dubrovnik. The coastal road parallels the main road leaving it free of car, bus, and truck traffic. Konavle, a green valley wedged between sea and mountains, is home to numerous family owned vineyards and wineries. Cycle past ancient stone farmhouses and hilltop villages reminiscent of Tuscany. Vineyards and green fields give way to steep seaside cliffs and cypress groves. After a leisurely lunch in a rustic family owned restaurant along a bubbly brook, we cycle back to Radovčiči for the scenic drive back to Dubrovnik.
