1 Day Safari Blue Tour

A full day excursion on a traditional sailing dhow. Safari Blue starts from Fumba — the perfect starting point to explore Menai Bay, an official conservation area. This area is home to beautiful uninhabited islands, and if we are lucky we can see humpbacks and bottle nose dolphins. On arrival at Fumba you are given a briefing on Safari Blue and then you board your dhow and are off to explore the bay. Anchor is later dropped close to Kwale sandbank for snorkelling, and all the equipment you need for that you will find on the boat. After snorkelling the dhow will anchor at the sandbank and you can take a walk or just relax on the white sand enjoying the beautiful scenery. Refreshments are offered before you board the dhow again heading to Kwale Island for a lunch buffet of grilled fish, lobster, calamari, chicken, fruits, coffee. After lunch you can visit the local shops on the beach, sunbathe or just snooze in the shade under the tamarind trees. Next stop on the journey is the beautiful mangrove lagoon, and if the tide is right, you can take a swim in the stunning scenery. Then it is time to head back to Fumba, and we will arrive around 5pm depending on the wind.
