Tours are conducted between July and August when whales are typically found in the coastal or shelf water. In either a local jahazi or dhow you shall be shown these majestic creatures by an experienced fisherman and guide while at the same time receiving an in-depth education on their conservation. In recent years, many different humpback whales around Zanzibar have often approached boats for friendly encounters.
