Perched between the majestic Udzungwa and Uluguru Mountain ranges, the Mikumi Park's location is where the bush meets geography & traditions! Here you will get to spot a variety of wild animals with an incredible landscape as your backdrop! You will also have a chance to spend time with the local villagers. The Park is only about 6 hours drive from Dodoma (Tanzania's Capital) and about 6 hours from Dar Es Salaam (East Africa's largest city).
Your Adventure Begins
The client has the option to be picked up from the Dar Es Salaam Ferry (if coming from Zanzibar) or from Dar Es Salaam International Airport or from a hotel within Dar Es Salaam city limits. Ideally, the pickup time is between 4:30 AM & 6 AM but this can be adjusted as needed.
Drive from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park (approx. 6-hour drive). Along the way, you will pass through many villages and small towns. As you are driving to Mikumi, you will get to see the beautiful landscape and amazing scenery of the country. You will stop for lunch near or in Morogoro town.
Once you arrive at Mikumi, you will proceed with a memorable Maasai Village Tour. At the village, you will have a memorable experience to mingle with the villagers and learn their traditions and ways of life.

Wild wild Mikumi Safari
Today you will start early with a morning game drive. After early breakfast (at your hotel), you will start your memorable game drive. You have a very good chance of spotting a number of wild animals such as Elephants, Giraffes, African Cape Buffaloes, Wildebeest, lions, Zebras, hippos and many more
Later in the afternoon, you will stop for lunch at a picnic campsite inside the park
After lunch you will proceed with a game drive. At around 4PM you will begin your drive back to Dar Es Salaam. Depending on traffic, you will arrive in Dar Es Salaam around 9/10pm.
