Hisor Castle is one of the most famous historical sites in Tajikistan, located about 30 km west of Dushanbe.
It dates back over 2,500 years and has been rebuilt many times.The current fortress walls were reconstructed in the 16th century during the time of the Emirate of Bukhara.The main gate with its two large towers is the most iconic part. Nearby castle there are madrassas, a caravanserai, and a mosque.The area offers beautiful mountain views and landscapes.

  1. Guzgarf Waterfall
  
  Situated in a tributary of the Odjuk River, Guzgarf Waterfall is approximately a 3 km hike from Varzob village. The trail, known as the "Seven Bridges," meanders through lush landscapes and leads to a stunning 30-meter cascade nestled in the Hissar Range .
  
  2. Ojuk Valley
  
  Located about 25 km northeast of Varzob, Ojuk Valley is renowned for its verdant slopes adorned with sycamore trees, apple, cherry, and plum orchards. The valley offers a mild climate, sandy beaches, and inviting ponds for swimming, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and exploration .
  
  3. Sioma Valley
  
  Approximately 30 km north of Varzob, Sioma Valley is considered one of the best hiking spots near Dushanbe. The valley is lush and green, featuring an old meteorological station that can be reached by hiking along the left side of the river .
