Jeep Pamir Highway Tour

Upon arrival at Dushanbe airport you will be met by our guide transferred to your hotel. We enjoy a city tour of Dushanbe, Included is a visit to Hissor Fort which was rebuilt during the 13th century, the site of two madrassas built in the 18th-19th centuries. Later we return to Dushanbe for a tour of the bazaar and museums.

Today we start our journey towards the Pamir over the mountain pass at Kalaikumb, the halfway point of Khorog. We take the northern road via Gharm District.

Drive to Khorog, the capital of (GBAO) Gorno-Badakhshan region, along the Panj River which forms the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

In the morning, visit Khorog’s bazaar, museum and botanical gardens which is the second highest in the world. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Today we cross to Ishkashim Wakhan valley where we take a hot bath in the natural hydrogen sulfide Gharmchashma spring and visit Afghan bazaar.
Overnight in homestay

Drive towards Yamchun where we visit Yamchun fortress which is left of Kushan Empire and stop in Bibi Fatima hot spring, which is very famous among the locals. Further we drive to Vrang to see Buda Stupa, which symbolized that once Wakhan flourished with Buddhism and stay in homestay in Langar.

This day we walk around the village where there are interesting shrines with combinations of Islam and Zoroastrizm and by taking an uphill hike to view the impressive collection of over 6000 petroglyphs from where it is also possible to see panorama of Hindukush mountain range.

We start this day early in the morning heading to Alichur pastures where we will stay at Kyrgyz yurt where you can learn more about nomadic life.

Today we drive towards Khorog through Pamir Highway, on the way we will visit Bulunkul village which is the most coldest in the area with 60 degree recorded, will see Yashilkul lake, Bulunkul lake, Lunch in Bulunkul homestay. Overnight in 3* Star Hotel in Khorog.

From Khorog we drive along Panj river which was know as Oxus river. While driving on there are will be a lot of stop, driving along Afghan boarder is very good feelings. It will gives you what is look like afghan village. Lunch stop in Qalot. Then drive towards Darwaz district. Accomodation in Kalai Khumb

This time we will take Southern road via Kulob, on the way we will stop in some part of destinations which you find interesting, Lunch in Kulab, short observation of Hulbuk fortress, stop in Nurek water reservation.
