3 DAY LUXURY SAFARI TO LAKE MANYARA, NGORONGORO CRATER AND TARANGIRE

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am where your English speaking driver guide will brief you about the trip. Drive approximately 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park with a lunch box for a full day game drive and picnic lunch. Lake Manyara features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains, open plains, a huge escarpment, a soda lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Expect to see elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes as well as the famous tree climbing lions and leopards. The park is also an excellent introduction to birdlife with over 400 species recorded including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Lunch and dinner provided.

Early breakfast at 05:30am then descend approximately 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for about six hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch box. The crater supports dense populations of wildlife where you can spot endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other species. The crater soda lake also attracts many species of birds including flamingos. Large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals are also commonly seen. Late evening return drive to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and in dry periods supports staggering concentrations of wildlife rivaling larger parks, with examples such as reported large numbers of zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants and giraffes. Predators include lions, cheetah and leopards, and there are numerous bird species including green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
