3 Day Luxury Safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire

Pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. Your English speaking driver guide will brief you about the trip and then you will drive approximately 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park. Spend a full day game driving in the park with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains, with contrasting open plains, escarpment, soda lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Expect to see elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffalo. The park is known for tree climbing lions and leopards and offers excellent birdlife with over 400 species including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Meals included: Lunch and Dinner.

Early breakfast at 05.30 am followed by descent of 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for approximately six hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch box. The crater offers chances to spot endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other wild animals. The Ngorongoro soda lake hosts many bird species including flamingos. The rich prey populations support large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals. Late evening drive back to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast drive with a picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for extensive game viewing. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and in dry seasons supports massive concentrations of animals rivaling the Serengeti. Expect very large herds and diverse species including an estimated 30,000 zebras, 25,000 wildebeest, 5,000 buffaloes, 3,000 elephants, 2,500 Maasai giraffes and over 1,000 fringe eared oryx, with predators such as lions, cheetah and leopards and flocks of birds like green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
