3 Day Luxury Safari to Lake Manyara Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire

Pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. After a briefing by your English speaking driver guide, drive approximately 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. The park offers a mix of giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees, grassy flood plains, open plains, an escarpment, a soda lake and distant volcanic peaks. Expect sightings of elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes, plus the famous tree climbing lions and leopards. Lake Manyara is rich in birdlife with over 400 recorded species including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Meals included: Lunch and Dinner.

Early start with breakfast at 05:30 am, then descend approximately 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for about 6 hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch. The Crater provides excellent opportunities to spot endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other wildlife. Visit the Crater soda lake area to see many bird species including flamingos. Expect sightings of large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals. Late evening drive returns to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and during dry times hosts very high concentrations of wildlife including large numbers of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants and Maasai giraffes. Expect to see predators such as lions, cheetah and leopards and many bird species including green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
