3 DAY LUXURY SAFARI TO LAKE MANYARA, NGORONGORO CRATER AND TARANGIRE

Pickup from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. The English speaking driver guide will brief about the trip then drive about 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains with contrasts including open plains, a huge escarpment, a soda lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Wildlife such as elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes can be seen, and the park is famous for tree climbing lions and leopards. Lake Manyara provides an introduction to birdlife with over 400 species recorded, including pink hued flamingos, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Meals: Lunch and Dinner.

Early breakfast at 05:30 am then descend about 610 meters to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for approximately six hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch box. Expect to spot endangered black rhinos as well as lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other wildlife. Visit the soda lake area to see many bird species including flamingos. The crater ecosystem supports large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals. Late evening return to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch for Tarangire National Park. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and during dry times hosts huge concentrations of animals rivaling Serengeti with staggering game numbers including tens of thousands of zebras and wildebeest and thousands of buffaloes and elephants plus Maasai giraffes and fringe eared oryx. Predators include lions cheetah and leopards and many bird species such as green wood hoopoes fisher lovebirds white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
