3 DAY LUXURY SAFARI TO LAKE MANYARA, NGORONGORO CRATER AND TARANGIRE

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. After a briefing by your English speaking driver guide, drive approximately 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains with contrasting open plains, huge escarpment, Soda Lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Wildlife commonly seen includes elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes and the park is known for tree climbing lions and leopards. Lake Manyara is also a great introduction to Tanzanian birdlife with over 400 species recorded including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Lunch and dinner included.

Early start with breakfast at 05:30 am then descend approximately 610 meters to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for about six hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch. The Crater provides opportunities to spot endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other wildlife. The Soda Lake in the crater supports many bird species including flamingos. Predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers like hyenas and jackals are also present. Late evening drive returns to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and at dry times supports massive concentrations of animals rivaling better known parks, with examples given for zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants and Maasai giraffes. Predators include lions, cheetah and leopards and the park hosts many bird species such as green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive returns to Arusha.
