Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. After a briefing by your English speaking driver guide, drive about 135Klm to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees, grassy flood plains, open plains, a huge escarpment, Soda Lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Expect sightings of elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes, and the famous tree climbing lions and leopards. Lake Manyara is also an excellent introduction to Tanzanias birdlife with over 400 species recorded including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Lunch and Dinner included.

Early start with breakfast at 05:30 am then descend 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for approximately 6 hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch. The crater floor is home to a wide variety of wildlife including endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other species. At the crater Soda Lake you will also see many bird species including flamingos. The crater ecosystem supports large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals. Late evening drive back to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart with a picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full day game viewing. Tarangire covers about 2,600 square kilometers and in dry times supports very high concentrations of wildlife rivaling other major reserves. Expect to see large numbers of zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants, Maasai giraffes and fringe eared oryx as well as predators including lions, cheetah and leopards. Also look out for numerous bird species such as green wood hoopoes, Fischer lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
