Day 1 Nairobi To Amboseli

Amboseli National Park

Pick up early in the morning from your hotel in Nairobi and begin your drive southeast toward Amboseli National Park. This park is renowned for its stunning scenery, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, whose snow-capped peak often rises above the clouds and dominates the landscape. Along the way, enjoy a few scenic stopovers: • Emali Viewpoint – A great early stop to stretch your legs and take in expansive views of the Maasai plains. • Kimana Sanctuary Area – Near the Amboseli ecosystem, this area often offers your first sightings of wildlife such as elephants and giraffes before even entering the park. Continue your journey arriving in Amboseli in time for lunch. Check in at your lodge, enjoy a meal, and take a short rest while soaking in views of the surrounding wilderness. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, open plains, and incredible photo opportunities with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.
