After a morning flight from Nairobis Wilson Airport, enjoy a short game drive en route to the luxurious Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. You will meet at 7:00am for a safari briefing before driving to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to Amboseli. The flight is approximately 45 minutes to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a driver/guide who will transfer you to Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge while you enjoy a short game drive and the views. After lunch you will depart for a late afternoon game drive exploring one of Kenyas most popular parks with opportunities to see animals against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Expect to see large elephant herds, hippos in swamp areas and a variety of other wildlife. Overnight is at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Meal plan for the day is lunch and dinner.
Rise early for breakfast and set out for a full day of game drives. Enjoy unobstructed 360 degree views from vehicles with customized pop up roof hatches to maximize wildlife viewing and photography. Amboseli is home to large resident populations of Burchells zebras, Thomson and Grants gazelles, buffalo, warthog, Maasai giraffe, impala, waterbuck and dik-dik, while baboons and vervet monkeys inhabit the woodlands. Carnivores include lions, spotted hyenas, wild cats, jackals, caracals and cheetahs. Birdlife is prolific with over 400 species recorded including pelicans, flamingos, kingfisher, African fish eagle, ibis, secretary bird, crowned crane and many more. After the rains the park gathers large flocks of water birds. Overnight is at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. Meal plan for the day is all meals.
Enjoy a final early morning game drive before breakfast, then transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobis Wilson Airport, bringing the safari to an end. This concludes the tour and there is no accommodation provided at the end of the package. Meal plan for the day is breakfast only. Departures conclude with hopes to welcome you back to Kenya.
