Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Airport/Railway Station to Sukhia pokhari

Mirik Hills

Welcome on arrival at NJP Railway station/Bagdogra Airport then drive to our destination of the day, the quaint town of Sukhia pokhari. A place from where the entire Kanchenjunga range can be viewed. On the way we will stop by the serene Himalayan town of Mirik and Simana Viewpoint and Pashupati town, situated on the Indo Nepal border.
Night stay at Sukhia pokhari.

Day 2

Hiking Day

Early morning post breakfast we will get ready for the Jorepokhari day hike . We will walk towards Reang Khola, after an hour of easy walking on the motor road through lush pine forest.
From Reang Khola we take a pathway gentle up through lush forest of mixed varieties or tree species which allows varieties of Himalayan birds and mammals. Depending on the season, we can see lots of wild fruits enroute to Simana (border) Road. From Simana Road the trail meanders through the giant pine trees offering scenic views towards Jorepokhari (twin lake). They used to be natural lakes before but during the 1980s they were converted into concrete ponds.

From Jorepokhari we follow a road with scenic pine trees to Sukhia pokhari Market. On the way, we can visit a beautiful monastery also. From Sukhiapokhari, we can walk downhill for two kilometers or can take a cab to Kayiavir Forest Village.

Total Time takes: around 4 hours.
Total distance: 6 km approx.
Hiking Category: Easy, anyone with good health can do this hike.

Day 3

Drive to Darjeeling

Batasia Eco Garden Ghoom Monastery (samten Choeling) Japanese Buddhist Temple

Post breakfast we will drive to Darjeeling via Lepchajagat. We will visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery.We will visit the Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple. In the evening we are free to stroll around the Mall Road.
Night stay in Darjeeling.

Day 4

It’s time to bid adieu!

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park Hmi Museum

After breakfast we will visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday).
Thereafter we will drive to the Railway Station or Airport for departure.
