5-Day Budget Safari to Kenya

After having breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, we will pick you up and leave for Masai Mara National Reserve. We drive through the Great Rift Valley before reaching Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast plains of the Serengeti, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration, and is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino). Lunch is at the camp, and you can relax before departing on the afternoon drive. Other animals in the park include Masai giraffe, buffalo, eland, and thousands of plain game, including impala, zebra, tophi, and both Thompsons and Grant gazelles.

After breakfast at 6:30am, you will leave for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch—the search for the great wild animals continues! Large herds of herbivores graze on the plains, and cheetahs and leopards hide in their locations. The Masai Mara National Reserve is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. Some 95 species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species have been recorded in the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, so a visitor hardly misses any of the Big Five. Lunch will be at a picnic area close to the Mara River. Later you will return to the camp for dinner.

We depart for an early morning game drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. After the game drive, we will go back for breakfast and leave for Lake Nakuru National Park, where we will arrive in time for lunch. En route to Lake Nakuru National Park, we will have a game drive to find leopards which are frequently sighted in the park. After lunch, we leave for another game drive to look for the two species of rhino found in the park—black and white rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park is also known for many species of birds and thousands of flamingos.

We have an early morning game drive in search of animals and then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we leave for Amboseli National Park with a hot lunch in Nairobi. We will arrive at Amboseli National Park late evening and, if time allows, have a late evening game drive. Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Your dinner and Overnight stay are at Kimana Amboseli Tented Camp.

We depart for an early morning game drive in search of predators and their prey. After the game drive, we will return to the lodge for breakfast and check out of the lodge. Finally, we will leave for Nairobi with a picnic lunch you can enjoy en route to Nairobi. We will drop you off in Nairobi at your hotel or the airport.
