5-DAY NORTHERN TANZANIA MID-RANGE SAFARI

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzanias famous Northern Safari Circuit. Situated at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is a vibrant town surrounded by coffee plantations and picturesque landscapes. Depending on your arrival time you may relax at your lodge and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Under The Shade Safari Lodge before beginning your wildlife exploration the following morning. Meal Plan: Dinner & Breakfast.

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzanias most captivating wildlife destinations covering nearly 3,000 square kilometers and renowned for giant baobab trees, vast savannah landscapes, and large elephant populations. The Tarangire River attracts abundant wildlife year round including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and numerous antelope species and is a paradise for bird enthusiasts with more than 500 bird species. Enjoy an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the park before proceeding to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge. Meal Plan: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

After an early breakfast depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africas highest concentrations of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and the endangered black rhinoceros. After enjoying a game drive and picnic lunch on the crater floor continue your journey through scenic highlands and vast plains toward Serengeti National Park, famous for its endless grasslands and the Great Migration. Arrive at Moyo Tented Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Meals: Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

Begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, Tanzanias most iconic wildlife sanctuary known for endless plains, remarkable biodiversity and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. The park supports thriving populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants and countless other species. After lunch depart the Serengeti and travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Farm of Dreams Lodge. After breakfast at your lodge in Karatu enjoy a relaxed morning before your transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule you may choose to unwind at the lodge or take part in optional activities such as visiting Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience including plantation walks, local school visits and a tuk-tuk or bicycle ride through the community, or enjoy a coffee tour in Karatu if offered by your lodge.
