5 Day Rwanda/ Uganda Double Gorilla Package

You will arrive in Rwanda first through Kigali airport and you will be transferred right away to the foothills of Volcanoes National park in Ruhengeri which is the home of the famous mountain gorillas. You will be welcomed into the lavish Mountain gorilla View lodge and there you will rest from this long journey.

The second day you will be taken to park’s headquarters in the morning to begin the gorilla trek. This is usually began early because it can take a while before you can even locate these animals. Depending on the location of the family you are visiting, it can take from 2-6 hours. When you finally met them, you will be so amazed at the things they can do which are not so different from human beings. You will then spend a maximum of one hour bonding, taking photos and learning more about them from your guide. You will then head back to the lodge after this exhausting but interesting encounter. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Take breakfast and depart for Uganda. You will cross the border via Kyanika. Bwindi forest national park is located in the south west of Uganda and home to the largest number of endangered mountain gorillas. The vegetation in Bwindi is thicker than the Bamboo in Volcanoes national park that is why gorilla trekking in Bwindi is more challenging and adventurous.

Breakfast, report for briefing at the park headquarters. Join fellow trekkers through Bwindi forest to search for Gorillas. In case you are lucky you can get to see the gorillas after a few hours, spend an hour with the mountain Gorillas, and get back to the lodge in time for relaxation as you wait for meals and overnight at your Lodge.

Take early breakfast and drive back to Kigali for your departure flight.
