7-Day Big Five Adventure- a Unique Kenya Bush Expedition

After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi you will be picked up and driven through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara is part of the Serengeti plains famed for the great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five including lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. Lunch will be at the camp where you will relax before departing for the afternoon game drive to view Maasai giraffe, buffalo, eland and plain game such as impala, zebra, topi and both Thompsons and Grant gazelles. Accommodation for the night is at Mara Maisha Camp, a mid-range tented camp located just outside Masai Mara National Reserve. All meals and drinking water are included, other drinks are not included.

Breakfast at 6.30 am followed by a full day game drive in Masai Mara with a packed lunch. The day is spent searching for large herds of herbivores, cheetahs, leopards and other wildlife. Masai Mara offers outstanding wildlife viewing with some 95 species of mammals and over 400 bird species recorded; the Big Five are commonly sighted. Midday meal will be at the picnic Mara River migration point. Later in the day you return to camp for dinner. Accommodation is at Mara Maisha Camp with all meals and drinking water included, other drinks not included.

Early morning game drive up to 9.30 am in search of animals hunting and feeding, then return to the camp or lodge for breakfast. You will have time to visit a Maasai Village and then depart for Nairobi with lunch at Narok. After lunch you drive to Lake Naivasha arriving late in the afternoon for a boat trip to see many species of birds and water animals such as hippos and to take photographs. Accommodation is at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, a mid-range hotel at Naivasha. All meals and drinking water are included, other drinks not included.

Early morning game drive to Hells Gate National Park where visitors can cycle or walk while seeing animals. After the game drive return for breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch with a game drive enroute seeking leopards frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru. After lunch you will leave for a further game drive and drive to seek out both black and white rhino species found in the park. Lake Nakuru is also renowned for many species of birds and thousands of flamingos. Accommodation is at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, a mid-range lodge inside Lake Nakuru National Park. All meals and drinking water are included, other drinks not included.

Early morning game drive in search of wild animals, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park with a hot lunch in Nairobi. Arrive at Amboseli late in the evening and if time allows have a late evening game drive. Amboseli is famous for its scenery dominated by snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro and open plains. Accommodation is at Kibo Safari Camp, a mid-range tented camp just outside Amboseli National Park. All meals and drinking water are included, other drinks not included.

Breakfast at 6.30 am then depart with a packed lunch for a full day game drive in Amboseli where you will spend the day in search of popular residents including predators and prey such as zebra, giraffe, hippo and large elephants with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Accommodation is at Kibo Safari Camp with all meals and drinking water included, other drinks not included.

Early morning game drive in search of animals hunting and feeding, then return to the lodge for breakfast and check out of the lodge or tented camp. Depart for Nairobi with a picnic lunch enroute and arrive in Nairobi where you will be dropped at your place of choice or to the airport if required. Accommodation is not included for the final night unless arranged at extra cost. Meals included for the day are breakfast and lunch; dinner not included.
