Chaini pass connects churah area with Mindal village in pangi of chamba distt. This pass generally used by Shepards and villager of Mindal and devikothi as distance is lesser for them compared to sach pass. An alternative way back over the pirpanjal,Chandra -bhaga to chamba. This pass is lies few km south east of sach pass.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival

Arrival at Pathankot, proceed for chamba town via Dalhousie, Khajjiar(135 km).local sightseeing of important tourist attraction in Chamba. over night stay at hotel.

Day 2

Proceed to Devi Kothi

After breakfast proceed to Devi Kothi. temple account of the mughal infulance manifest in its wood carving and painting. It is among popular place to visit devikothi and also one of the most famous place to visit in chamba. Night stay at AIL village. We camp over night here.

Day 3

Trek to RAWAS

After breakfast we start trek to RAWAS. The trail is perfectly marked and it passed through a thick forest. The velly ahed is deep and narrow. After walking 4km towards stream we reach RAWAS. We camp here tonight.

Day 4

Reach BENSU GOTH

Proceed after breakfast and reach BENSU GOTH. Walk over the glaciers as well as frozen water streams towards grassland we reach at BENSU GOTH. We camp over night here.

Day 5

Trek to Chaini pass

Early in morning after breakfast we start trek to across the chaini pass. The ascent is very steep. Streams over ice makeing it dangerous and risky. Ice axe would be needed here. Their are rewarding view up on the top. From the top a rappid descent but as we move further the path become less difficult. We camp at GHRAT over night.

Day 6

Trek to MINDAL village

After breakfast we start trek to MINDAL village. Today will be an easy day as we would be camping at not so defined from here only 7km. Mindal village is located on the left bank of Chandra -bhaga. There is a temple provision shops and guest house here in the village. We stay over night here.

Day 7

Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for half day sightseeing for killar. Relax for the rest of evening. We stay over night here in hotel.

Day 8

Departure

After breakfast check out from hotel and travel to chamba via sach pass. Night stay in hotel.
