The Journey: Upon exiting Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will board your safari vehicle and drive southwest through the Great Rift Valley directly to the Maasai Mara. Arrival: You will reach your budget camp just outside the reserve boundary in time for lunch. Afternoon: Keep it completely relaxed. There is no game drive today, giving you time to unpack, rest from your flight, and enjoy the camp atmosphere. OPTIONAL : Maasai cultural visit to learn more about their culture

After leaving the Maasai Mara, you will head to Lake Naivasha—the highest and most beautiful freshwater lake in the Rift Valley (1,910m) Morning: Drive from the Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha and check into your budget camp or cabin. OPTIONAL Afternoon Activity (Boat & Walking Safari):Boat Safari Excursion: Head out on the fresh water to cruise past wallowing hippo pods. Watch for giant kingfishers and herons hunting among the dense papyrus reeds along the shoreline. Crescent Island Walking Safari: The boat will drop you off at this private sanctuary. Because there are no large predators, you can safely guide-walk right next to wild giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks (Hell’s Gate National Park): Rent a bicycle at the gate to ride alongside zebras and warthogs through the towering towering basalt cliffs.
