Created by the people of the Khasi tribe, these roots grow from the ancient rubber trees, seen only in the northeast region. These roots are trained by the Khasis to grow in such a manner as be in the form of bridges on the top of a river. These bridges are an amazing alternative to wooden bridges that dwindle with so much rain falling on them. The most popular tourist attraction of Cherrapunjee, these double decker living root bridges are 2 bridges that are stacked one on the other, made because of the entanglement of roots.

After breakfast visit Mawlynnong Viilage the cleanest village in India (90 Km 2 Hrs)This cute and colourful little village is known for its cleanliness. Visit the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki along the Bangladesh Border .Overnight stay at Dawki

After breakfast visit Krang Suri water fall it is the most magical waterfall you can lay your eyes on. Krang Suri is cut off from the tourist circuit. Located in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is blessed with shimmering blue waters and sparkling sunlight. This heady mixture of nature is sometimes known to create a rainbow. It’s truly a magical pool in nature’s wonderland. It is 91 kms from Shillong and should typically should take 2.5 hours.

After that visit Phe Phe Waterfalls and evening return back to Shillong. Overnight Stay
