It offers breathtaking views, diverse landscapes, and a high success rate for reaching the summit. This 7-day climb allows for better acclimatization and maximizes your chances of standing on the “Roof of Africa” – Uhuru Peak (5,895m / 19,341ft).

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1: Arrival – Moshi

Pick-up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Drive to Moshi town for a briefing and overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2 Moshi – Machame Gate – Machame Camp

Drive to Machame Gate (1,800m / 5,905ft).
Begin trekking through the lush rainforest.
Arrive at Machame Camp (3,000m / 9,840ft) for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Machame Camp – Shira Camp

Trek across moorland with stunning views of Kibo Peak.
Overnight at Shira Camp (3,840m / 12,600ft).

Day 4 Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Baranco Camp

Hike up to Lava Tower (4,630m / 15,190ft) for acclimatization.
Descend to Baranco Camp (3,950m / 12,960ft) for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Baranco Camp – Karanga Camp

Climb the famous Baranco Wall and trek through alpine desert.
Overnight at Karanga Camp (4,035m / 13,240ft).

Day 6 Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp

Trek to Barafu Camp (4,640m / 15,220ft), the base for summit attempt.
Lunch, short nap, early dinner, and rest before midnight summit push.

Day 7 Summit Day – Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp

Around midnight, begin the final ascent via Stella Point (5,739m / 18,829ft).
Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m / 19,341ft) – the highest point in Africa!
Descend to Barafu Camp for rest and lunch, then continue to Mweka Camp (3,100m / 10,170ft) for overnight.

Day 8 Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi – Departure

Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m / 5,380ft).
Receive summit certificates and transfer back to Moshi hotel.
Later transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) for departure.
