8 Nights / 9 Days
Kilimanjaro's Northern Circuit Route is an experience of a lifetime. This relatively new route climbs Kilimanjaro's more attractive and tranquil western slope, passing nearly the entire mountain before arriving at the summit. This is certainly one of the more picturesque and tranquil routes up Africa's tallest peak, as there are very few other groups on the northern face. The 9-day Northern Circuit Route is the longest and most scenic path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering unparalleled 360-degree views and excellent opportunities for acclimatization. Starting from Londorossi Gate, the route takes a counterclockwise path around the mountain, traversing diverse landscapes such as lush rainforests, moorlands, and alpine deserts. It follows a less crowded trail, providing a tranquil trekking experience and stunning vistas of the northern slopes, which are rarely seen on other routes. The extended duration and gradual ascent make this route ideal for trekkers seeking a high success rate and a more immersive Kilimanjaro adventure.
A representative from Our company or your personal driver will pick you up at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport/JRO and drive you to your accommodation Moshi. Savor your evening as you get ready for your adventure to start the following day.

After breakfast at the hotel, our team of porters and guides will meet us at the Londorossi Gate on the western face of Kilimanjaro. After we register your climb, our staff will prepare the food and gear for our trip. We may unwind and take pictures here while we wait for our bags to be weighed and for the other necessary travel processes to be finished. And then we shall begin ascending. As the journey draws to a close, we will reach the first camp, which will be ready and waiting for us as the trail gradually ascends into the mountain woodland. We move into the heath and moorland zone after leaving the jungle. We have breathtaking panoramic views today that extend to the Shira Plateau's rim, and we can take in the breathtaking vistas from the crest. Your body may have trouble adjusting to this day, but you will be in good hands and we will be taking frequent, brief breaks. After that, we will set our camp on the Shira Plateau
Elevation(m): 11,500 ft to 12,500 ft, 4 miles,
Hiking Time: 3-4 hour
This is a short day in terms of geography and elevation. A moderate hike of about 350 meters (1,148 feet) is what we will aim for. We will spend this day to acclimate and reset, as well as to explore the Shira Plateau and enjoy views of Kibo, the largest of Kilimanjaro's three volcanic cones.
Elevation(m): 12,500 ft to 13,580 ft (Lava Tower), down to 15,190 ft, 8 miles
Hiking Time: 5-7hour
This is a crucial day for your development and ascent of the mountain. A day of acclimation is essential. We will give you lunch when we reach the Lava Tower, let you recover, and then head down to Moir Hut, where we will veer off the main track.
Elevation(m): 13,580 ft to 13,200 ft, 7 miles
Hiking Time: 5-7hour
We begin with a somewhat difficult ascent out of Moir. After that, we will continue along the trail that goes over a field of rocks. As we actually drop to Buffalo Camp, which is 4,000 meters/13,100 feet above sea level, we will consider today a recovery day. There, we will be provided with a delectable hot lunch.

We start the day by hiking around the mountain's northern slopes in the direction of its eastern flank. There are a few plants and some dust on this parched area. There will not be many other groups along the peaceful route. Before we arrive at the Third Cave Camp on this day, we will start to get a taste of the trek's peacefulness and isolation.
Elevation(m): 12,700 ft to 15,600 ft, 3 miles,

At midnight, we begin our ascend push after being roused with a hot cup of tea, a cookie, and an ascent snack. We will start the summit push by zigzagging to Gilman's Point from Hans Mayer Cave, where we will stop for a snack. It will take you over two hours to finish this challenging climb with slippery terrain underfoot. We will be walking at a somewhat moderate pace because it will be cold and possibly windy. As we approach the crater rim, the sun will begin to rise behind you and beside the Mawenzi Peak. Remember that the warmth of the rising sun will kindle an inner fire within of you that will increase your energy and motivate you to keep ploughing forward. At Gilman’s Point, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved rest and a snack before continuing to Uhuru Peak. You’ll be able to take some pictures at Uhuru Peak and enjoy the incredible views before we descend to Barafu Camp and have lunch. We will then gently walk down to Millennium Camp.
