Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi- Shimla (380 kms/10 hrs)

Morning Pick up from airport and drive to Shimla. Arrive and check in at hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour to Wildflower Hall, Indira Holiday Home, Advance Study & Museum as per time availability. Overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 2 : Shimla city tour

Check in to hotel early morning. refresh and rest for some time. In the Afternoon, proceed for half day city tour visiting Indian Institute Of Advanced Studies, Sankat Mochan Temple and Jakhu temple. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town – The Mall & The Ridge. Later back to hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel at shimla.

Day 3 : Shimla – Manali (285 kms/ 7 – 8 hrs)

Early morning transfer by road to Manali, located in the ancient Kullu valley, surrounded by towering peaks at an arm length. Arrive and check in the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 4 : Local Sight Seeing of Manali Town + Solang Valley

Arrival at Manali, after breakfast, proceed to half day city tour visiting Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Temple and Tibetan Monastery. In the afternoon proceed for Solang Valley in Manali is located at a distance of 13 kms in a side valley at the top of the Kullu valley is a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund. Solang valley offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Solang Valley has fine ski slopes. The Mountaineering Institute of Manali has installed a ski lift for training purpose. Located here is a hut and guest house of the Mountaineering and Allied sports Institute, Manali. The winter skiing festival is organized in Solang Valley. Skiing and Paragliding are two main activities are organized here. Apart from this many other adventure sports are available like Zorbing, Horse riding & Snow Motor Bikes riding etc. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 5 : Manali – Dharamshala (280 kms / 6-7 hrs)

Morning proceed by road to Dharamshala. Arrive and check in to hotel. Later visit Bhudhist Monastery, Bhagsunag Temple. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Dharamshala as per time availability. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 6 : Mcleodgunj Visit

Morning after breakfast visit to Mcleodgunj (6500+ ftasl, 10 kms). visit Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagshunath Temple (3 kms from Mcleodgunj). Visit local street market for tibetanartefacts. Naddi Area near Cantonment (8 kms from Mcleodgunj) has one of the best Himalayan views of the area. In the evening time permitting, Pilgrimage oriented travellers may head for ChinmayaTapovan, an ashram complex established by the late Swami Chinmayananda (10 kms from Dharamsala). Guests who can do a bit of walking can head for Kunal Pathri Temple, a 3 km walk from Dharamsala is a rock temple dedicated to Goddess Kapaleshwari. Guests also have an option to head for Naam Art Gallery, a renowned art gallery. Overnight staty in Dharamshala.

Day 7 : Dharamsala - Dalhousie. (121 kms – 3.5 hrs)

After Breakfast proceed to Dalhousie. On arrival Check into hotel In afternoon Time permitting visit local markets and local places to visit such as Churches in Dalhousie, Panchpula / Sat Dhara (confluence of 7 streams said to have medicinal effect).

Day 8 : Khajjiar, Chamba, Chamera Lake excursion .

After Breakfast, go for Full Day excursion to Khajjiar Meadows (22 kms), Chamba (riverside pilgrim centre at 44 kms from Dalhousie can be visited with Khajjiar) and Chamera Lake (large lake with watersports centre). Enroute visit Barkota hills. Back by late evening.

Day 9 : Dalhousie to Amritsar (230 kms/4 – 5 hrs)

After Breakfast, checkout from Dalhousie and proceed for Amritsar by road on arrival checkin at hotel and later visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony - Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening Beating the Retreat ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 10 : Amritsar to Delhi ( 450 kms/ 8 hrs)

After breakfast, Visit to Golden Temple and later proceed for Delhi. On arrival, drop at Delhi Airport/ Railway Station with sweet memories.
