Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by a transfer driver and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest in your room, relax in the manicured gardens and enjoy lodge facilities. The ecotourism lodge is environmentally friendly, working towards carbon neutrality, restoring biodiversity and powered by solar energy.

After breakfast drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Tarangire is known for its diverse landscape including ancient baobab trees, termite mounds and the Tarangire River which provides the only water in the dry season. Famous for a large elephant population, the park also supports zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck, baboons, dwarf mongoose, impala, buffalo, antelope and fringe eared oryx as well as predators such as lion, cheetah and leopard. Birdlife in swamps and drier ground is abundant. Overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge in Karatu.

Full day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for exceptional game viewing due to permanent water supply on the crater floor. Optionally visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands to meet elders, warriors, women and children and learn about Maasai culture. Upon arrival at the crater rim descend 610 metres into the crater to begin the safari where you may spot endangered black rhino, wildebeest, buffalo, zebra, eland, Grants and Thomsons gazelle, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, jackals and rare wild dogs. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge, Karatu.

Visit Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive. The park lies along the base of the Rift Valley escarpment and features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees, grassy flood plains, Soda Lake and distant volcanic peaks. Wildlife includes large buffalo, wildebeest, giraffes, mongoose, dik dik and zebra herds while the acacia woodland is home to tree climbing lions and tusked elephants. Lake Manyara is also rich in birdlife with over 400 species recorded, including thousands of pink flamingos and other large waterbirds. In the late afternoon return to Arusha for your final evening. Overnight at Gold Crest Hotel, Arusha.

Departure day with breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
