Arrival in Leh
On reaching Leh in the morning, I was immediately transferred to the hotel. The entire day was dedicated to acclimatization to the altitude of Leh (11,500 ft/3500 m). Later, in the evening, I strolled to Shanti Stupa or Leh local market. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive tour visiting the Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple and Sangam. Enjoy rafting on the Zanskar River at the confluence. The Hall of Fame, a tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War, is a must-see. Will return to Leh in the afternoon. Night stay will be in Leh.

Leh to Nubra Valley (128 km | Approx 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast, journey to Nubra Valley, “Valley of Flowers” via Khardung la, the world’s highest motorable road (18,380 feet). On reaching Nubra Valley, check in to hotel/camp. After a sumptuous lunch, take a stroll along the Shyok River. Alternatively, enjoy a two-humped camel ride across the sand dunes between Diskit and Hunder village. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Nubra – Turtuk | Tyakshi – Nubra (170 Kms | 5-6 hrs Approx)
After breakfast, drive to Turtuk (open to tourists since 2010). The village, captured from Pakistan by the Indian Army in 1971, is on the way to Tyakshi, the border dividing India and Pakistan. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 feet), a 6-7 hour drive via Shyok River Road. On reaching the camp, enjoy leisure time watching the color changing lake and the sunset over its shores. Overnight stay at Pangong Lake.

Pangong Lake – Leh (140 kms | Approx 4-5 hrs)
Early in the morning, enjoy the picturesque sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh. Alternatively, visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace at additional cost if interested. Day is free for entertainment, evening stroll to Leh Bazaar for shopping (own cost). Overnight stay in Leh.

Early morning, transfer to airport for return flight home. The journey is over.
