Like many other treks, this trek commences from the Lake city of Pokhara. As we ascend well-trodden trails, picturesque terrace farmlands, traditional villages, lush oak and rhododendron forests, clear water streams, Whitewater Rivers and pristine waterfalls, the world of snow and ice eventually starts unfolding above us. The integration of tiny and pretty villages and terraced farming lands of millet and rice, coupled by the majestic spectacle of Fishtail (6,997m), Annapurna I, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli (6,441m) ensure a treat to your eyes and journey to remember forever. The Annapurna Base Camp trek via Ghorepani Poon hill commences with a short drive to Nayapul. Tighten your shoelaces, as we embark on the hike through a pleasant trail. As we pass through streams, villages, terrace farming lands and lush rhododendron forests, peaceful and quiet woods and through wobbly suspension bridges, we will get to the serene Ghorepani village. The very next day, before dawn, we will hike early in the morning to Poon hill and devour the majestic views of the Himalayas with our eyes including the Annapurna ranges and the Dhaulagiri massif, as the sun rises in the background. The view of the sunrise from Poon Hill is absolutely breathtaking, it is also considered as a photographer's paradise. During the Annapurna Base Camp trek via Ghorepani Poon Hill, we slowly descend through steep and narrow trails from Poon hill to Tadapani, then onto Chhomrong, which is a beautiful village graced by majestic views of the Fishtail mountain and which lies on the lap of the Annapurna south. As the hike clambers up through the valley that surrounds the Modi Khola towards the Sanctuary we are rewarded with views of towering peaks and vast rocky landscapes. The highlight of the trip, the Annapurna Base Camp (4100m) reveals the full splendor of a huge natural amphitheater. Upon conquering the Annapurna Base Camp, we are rewarded with an aerial 360-degree view of the Himalayan massifs. Upon exploring and enjoying the Annapurna base camp to the fullest, we trek back to Chhomrong and from Ghandruk to Pokhara via Nayapul. We will spend our last night chilling out beside the splendid Phewa Lake. Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m).
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will meet one of our trek leaders who will be standing at in front of arrival terminal with the colorful garlands to welcome and greet you. Transfer to hotel, rest of the day is free and relax. In the evening one of our team leaders will come to see you and take you for the welcome dinner at a typical Nepali Restaurant. Enjoy the local meal with the great conversation and short briefing about Annapurna base camp trek via Ghorepani Poonhill. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Drive or Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, 200km/6 Hours Drive or 25 Minutes Flight.
After an early breakfast, meet your trekking crew in the lobby and transfer to tourist Bus Park for a 6 hours scenic drive to Pokhara. Or have a hot breakfast at your leisure and transfer to airport for a 25 minute flight to Pokhara. You can fly any time from 8 am to 4 pm. Pokhara is a beautiful city; we can enjoy walking around the Lakeside. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 : Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Ulleri (2100m), 2 Hours Drive, 5 to 6 Hours Walking
After breakfast, we take a private coach drive to Nayapul, this is about two hours scenic drive through Tibetan refugee camp and local villages. Nayapul is starting point of our trek; from here we take an easy stroll along the sub-tropical Modi Khola River Valley to Birethanti (a large village on the old Nepal-Tibet trading route). Here we show our permits to Acap check post officer and let's start the real trekking passing through villages, terrace farming lands, crossing suspension bridges and a steep stone staircase climb to the large Pun village at Ulleri. Overnight at guest house.
Day 4 : Trek from Ulleri to Gorepani (2850), 5 to 6 Hrs Walking.
After a hot breakfast at Ulleri enjoying the view of fishtail mountain towering above us, we leave Ulleri and follow a pleasant and cool trail through rhododendron and oak forests, across streams before making a short, final ascent to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti, continue the trek up to Ghorepani. Overnight at guest house.
Day 5 : Morning, Excursion to Poon Hill (3210m), Trek to Tadapani (2600m), 6 to 7 Hours Walking
Wake up at 4:30 am and ascend to Poon Hill (one and half hour) where an awe-inspiring sunrise greets you from over the mountains. Clear climate permitting, experience a magical, panoramic view of the mountains of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Annapurna I (8019m), and Fishtail (6997). The sunrise view from Poon hill is marvelous. After this panoramic treat, we descend to the lodge for a late breakfast. Today's destination is Tadapani, we start our day after breakfast at Ghorepani, We ascend to Deurali, and the views from this point are equally stunning as we had from Poonhill. Our hike get continues to Tadapani through lush rhododendron and fir forests and villages. Overnight at guest house in Tadapani.
Day 6 : Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2340m), 5 to 6 Hours Walking
Tadapani is the best place to see sunrise and great views of Annapurna south and Hiunchuli. From here, the trail descends through additional rhododendron and oak forests, arriving at Chhomrong for a midday lunch. Chhomrong is a large Gurung Village, and the highest permanent settlement in the valley with a tremendously vast view across to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail). The day closes with an overnight stay in Chhomrong.
Day 7 : Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan(2500), 5 to 6 Hours Walking.
Here, the trail descends via a stone staircase, eventually crossing the Chhomrong Khola. Climb high above the Modi Khola, traveling its west bank, and pass through forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak. This portion of the day's trek is followed by yet another ascent to Kuldi before finally descending a long, steep, stone staircase to Dovan . Overnight at guest house.
Day 8 : Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchare Base Camp (3700m), 5 to 6 Hours Walking.
After breafakst at Dovan, the trek goes through peace and cool bamboo and oak forests to Deurali via Hinku cave. Stop here for a lunch, now we can feel thin air and less vegetation. After lunch, we ascend gradually to MBC. Overnight at guest house.
Day 9 : Trek from Mbc to Annapurna Base Camp (4100m) and Back to Bamboo, 8/9 Hours Walking.
On the way to Annapurna Base Camp from Machhapuchre Base Camp, the vegetation disappears. We will see the snow boulders melting and forming small streams. The path widens as we enter the sanctuary. We follow a stream and then climb to a few huts alongside a moraine. There are sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary. Annapurna Base Camp sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding panorama of the 360 degrees. Upon arrival at this panoramic view site, we savor the awe-inspiring views of the Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and other peaks. Climax of our trip almost ends today then we will trek back to Bamboo which is most easy descending route. Overnight at guest house.
Day 10 : Trek from Bamboo to Chhomrong, 5 to 6 Hours Walking
Descend a long, stone staircase through bamboo and rhododendrons forests to Kuldi. Continue trekking through beautiful rhododendron forests and down to Sinuwa. From Sinuwa, the trail leads downhill to the Modi Khola, closing the day with a steep climb to Chhomrong where we will remain overnight at guest house.
Day 11 : Trek from Chhomrong to Ghandruk, 5 to 6 Hours Walking.
Trek from Chhomrong, walking through a flat level after an hour climb down to Kimrong Khola and start ascending we will walk through lush rhododendron forests and nice terrace flied. Ghandruk is unique gurung village famous for its traditional houses is an ideal vantage point offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. Overnight at guest house.
Day 12 : Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara, 5 Hrs Walk, 2 Hrs Drive
After breakfast, trek downhill through villages and terrace farming lands to Syauli Bazaar where we may stop for a lunch then continue walk to Nayapul via Beraithanti. We catch our vaichle to Pokhara, two hours drive. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.
Day 13 : Exploration Day Pokhara.
One of the clean cities in Nepal, Pokhara is a place of extraordinary natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6,997 m) rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. At an elevation lower than Katmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers, which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya. Visiting various sacred places throughout Pokhara as well as Fewa Lake and take part in an extensive city tour of Pokhara, this day will be a pleasant day.
Day 14 : Drive or Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
After breakfast, take a tourist bus ride to Kathmandu through countryside enjoying the scenic Nepalese hillsides, rivers and villages. Arrive at Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, after refreshment, in the evening join the farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant with live culture show. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 : Final Departure.
After breakfast, we transfer you to international airport for your onward flight. Wish you have a safe and sound flight, hope to see you again in the future.
