Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : GUWAHATI

  Arrive Guwahati airport and drive to hotel. If time permits visit Kamakhya Temple. Overnight in Guwahati.

• Day 2 : GUWAHATI –– CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG

  On this day start our journey little early after breakfast for an excursion to Cherrapunjee. Enroute visit Elephant falls. Later stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem view point. Enjoy chilled or rainy weather with a hot cup of coffee or with plate of Maggi.
  
  In Cherrapunjee we will take you to visit Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Later take a walk inside the Mawsmai Cave.
  
  Have lunch at Cherrapunjee and drive back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.

• Day 3 : SHILLONG - MWALLYNONG – DAWKI - SHILLONG

  After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia, also known as ‘God’s own Garden’. With over 80 households, the village gives the ambiance of walking in a well maintained park ! Climb the 80 ft Sky Walk at Mawlynnong village for a bird’s eye view of the Village, the plantations and faraway plains of Bangladesh. You will also be acquainted with the Khasi lifestyle, their culture and economy.
  
  A trek to the nearby Rewai Village is another interesting activity. Walk down a flight of almost 100 steps to witness nature’s wonder, living-root bridge. The bridges are tangles of massive thick roots, which the local people intertwined to form a bridge that can hold several people at a time. The root bridges, may be up to over a hundred feet long, take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they become very strong in the process. The bridges live and keep growing and strengthen over time. The useful lifespan of the bridges, is thought to be 500–600 years.
  
  Later drive to Dawki, a village of the Jaintia community whose prime occupation of fishing. Be mesmerized by the beauty of the Umngotriver, the venue of the annual boat race held during March - April at Umsyiem. The Umngot itself is a prime fishing spot for fishermen of the villages. The river is also famous for its crystal clear water, so clear that when seen from a distance, it appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! The Umngot River is the natural boundary between RiPnar or Jaintia Hills with HimaKhyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single span suspension bridge was constructed. This is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. Enjoy an amazing country boat river ride. Drive up to the Bangladesh border.
  Later proceed to Shillong for overnight stay.
  
  Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mawlynnong.

• Day 4 : SHILLONG – LAITLUM - SHILLONG

  After breakfast drive to Laitlum canyon - Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong, Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley.
  
  Later return to Shillong. Visit DBCIC museum, Ward’s Lake. Overnight at the hotel.
  DBCIC (Don Bosco Centrimphale for Indigenous Culture) is the largest of its kind in Asia. It is a centre where you can see, learn and experience the diverse culture of all the states of North East India under one roof.
  Note: DBCIC Museum remains closed on Sunday of the week

• Day 5 : SHILLONG - KAZIRANGA

  After breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Overnight at Kaziranga.
  
  In Kaziranga to enjoy cultural show you have options, as some local youth organized Cultural show in Kohora in auditorium or open field and also you can go to Orchid And Biodiversity Park which is approx. 3 Kms far from Kohora(Main Market area). They usually organize 3 to 5 types of cultural dance along with famous Bihu dance. We suggest you not to MISS THE PROGRAM.

• Day 6 : KAZIRANGA -NIMATIGHAT-MAJULI – KAZIRANGA (ASSAM)

  After early breakfast checkout and drive to Nimati Ghat (108 kms to ferry ghat) and then take a public ferry to reach Majuli (approx 1 ½ hrs on ferry). Visit the sattras in Majuli. Later take the return ferry and drive back to Kaziranga. Overnight in Kaziranga.

• Day 7 : KAZIRANGA - GUWAHATI

  Early morning go foran Elephant ride (5.30 to 6.30/ 6.30 to 7.30).
  After the ride return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will be taken to the Central Range for one round of Jeep Safari.
  Later checkout and drive back to Guwahati. In Guwahati visit Sankardev Kalakhetra if time permits. Overnight at Guwahati.

• Day 8 : GUWAHATI AIRPORT DEPARTURE

  After breakfast visit Kamakhya temple, later transfer to Guwahati airport.
