Auli - Winter Views 5 Days Tour

This is a long journey through the beautiful Garhwal region, following the Alaknanda River, passing the Panch Prayag confluences. Take the famous Ropeway from Joshimath to Auli (Asia's longest, 20 minutes). Auli is famous for its stunning ski slopes and panoramic views. Check into your hotel/resort in Auli and spend the day exploring the vast, pristine meadows. If it's winter, enjoy skiing or other snow activities. Otherwise, enjoy the gentle Auli Lake and the breathtaking views of Nanda Devi Peak.

Begin a moderate 3 km trek from Auli to the vast, open meadows of Gurson Bugyal. This trail offers continuous, spectacular views of the Himalayas, including the second-highest peak in India, Nanda Devi. Spend time soaking in the tranquility and natural beauty of this high-altitude meadow before trekking back down to Auli for the night.

Kausani is a beautiful hill station famous for its 300 km panoramic view of the Himalayan giants, including Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli. Check into your hotel and visit the Anashakti Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi once stayed. End the day watching a spectacular sunset over the snow-capped mountains.

Watch the famous sunrise in Kausani over the Himalayas. After breakfast, visit the Kausani Tea Estate and the Baijnath Temple (20 km), a cluster of ancient temples on the banks of the Gomti River. Drive back from Kausani to Kathgodam (6 hours) for your onward journey, carrying the memories of Auli's meadows and Kausani's panoramic views.
