You’ll sample mint tea, see the daily life of the tradition Berbers, and have lunch in a Berber house in a village overlooking the Atlas Mountains. These lunches are generally voted the best lunch of their entire stay by many of our customers, so it’s worth the experience! The women’s argan oil cooperatives, which promote genuine argan oil from individual local sellers, are not to be missed. The argan nut is endemic to Morocco and Moroccans have long known about the wonderful benefits of the oil extracted from this nut for everyday use either in cooking or cosmetics. The cooperative groups benefit local sellers, by helping pay for their children’s education. Don’t be fooled by the low-quality argan oil on the market — this is where you’ll find the real deal. We also encourage you to bring any small spare clothes items such as gloves, hats, socks, shoes, and treats that you can distribute yourself to the children once you travel with us. Not only are you making a contribution to this historical and traditional way of life, but the children really do love getting gifts so expect to see lots of happy faces!
