Morning breakfast at hotel - Excursion to Tsomgo lake (12400ft), 32kms from Gangtok City. The lake is almost about 1Km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Later visit 12Kms is the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir dedicated to the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh. Morning after breakfast half-day excursion to Yumthang Valley (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Km / 1 ½ hour one way). April/may/June the valley is struck by the riot of colours with Rhododendron, Alpine and Primula flowers. Yumthang is renowned for its Hot Spring, which is rich in sulphur. In Nov/Dec/Jan you can enjoy the scenic and panoramic views of the valleys and surrounding mountain ranges with snow-capp d peaks. Optional Yumesamdong Valley (Alt 15750Ft / 4725M) for Indian tourists only– From Yumthang Valley you can drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Yumesamdong or Zero Point close to Tibet Border,(At an extra cost) and back to Lachung.
