Char Dham Yatra 2024 From Haridwar 9N10D

Pickup from Haridwar at 08:00 AM and drive towards Yamunotri direction with an enroute visit to Kempty Falls in Mussoorie for lunch. Continue the journey to Barkot arriving by approximately 6:00 PM for hotel check-in. Overnight stay in Barkot after dinner.

Early morning walk up and move to Janki Chatti, then start the 5.5 km trek to Yamunotri Dham reaching before noon. Pilgrims may hire pony or palki at own cost. At the temple lawn take a holy dip in the tapt kunds Surya Kund Jamunabai Kund, perform darshan of Maa Yamuna, then trek down to Janaki Chatti and return to Barkot for overnight stay. Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and an important sacred shrine with historical context.

After breakfast depart Barkot around 9:00 AM for Uttarkashi located on the left bank of river Bhagirathi. Enroute visit natural Shiv Gufa, Vishvanath Temple and Kandar Devta and continue to reach Uttarkashi by approximately 4:00 PM for hotel check-in and overnight stay.

Early morning departure around 5:00 AM to Gangotri Dham via scenic landscapes including Harshil and Gangnani where optional hot spring bath is available. Reach Gangotri by about 11:00 AM, take a holy dip in Maa Bhagirathi, perform darshan at Goddess Maa Ganga Temple, have lunch and then return to Uttarkashi for night stay.

Depart Uttarkashi at 8:00 AM and drive towards the Kedarnath valley with scenic mountain and river views alongside Mandakini river. Enroute visit Guptkashi temple and other points and reach Phata or Sonprayag around 5:00 PM to halt for the night.

Early morning preparations from Phata to reach Kedarnath temple. The trek involves cab to Sitapur Parking then government cab to Gaurikund and a 16 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath or helicopter transfer if booked. Expect early start at 6:00 AM with arrival at temple by evening. Visit Shankaracharya statue Bharav Ghati and Bheem Sila, attend evening Shiv Aarti and stay overnight near Kedarnath. Notes include option of helicopter timings if booked. Two night stay at Kedarnath listed.

After Mangal Darshan start the downward trek early around 5:00 AM to Gaurikund before lunch. By 2:00 PM reach Sitapur Parking where your cab will pick you and drive back towards Phata, arriving around 5:00 PM for hotel drop and overnight stay.

After breakfast depart around 7:00 AM towards Tungnath via Chopta valley known as a mini Switzerland. Trek to Tungnath Temple (5.5 km) from Chopta peak with optional pony at own cost. Explore Chopta valley Narsingh Temple Pandukeshwar enroute and return by 4:00 PM to descend and drive towards Pipalkoti/Joshimath arriving around 6:00 PM for overnight stay.

Drive to Badrinath and reach the temple lawn around 10:00 AM for a holy bath in the Tapt Kund and darshan of Lord Badrinarayan. After breakfast drive to nearby Mana Village to visit BhimPul Vyas Gufa and local sights with a short 500 m trek at own cost. Return to Pipalkoti by mid afternoon and stay overnight.

After breakfast depart at 7:00 AM from Pipalkoti for the return journey towards Haridwar. Reach Rishikesh around 3:00 PM for short sightseeing including Ram Jhula Laxman Jhula and if available attend Ganga Aarti. The memorable journey concludes at Haridwar.
