Take a trip into an otherworldly dimension on this tour to one of the most surreal wonders in Romania — the Prahova Salt Mine. Step inside shimmering salt galleries that are said to have miraculous healing properties, and then explore volcanoes that look as if you've landed on the moon. Begin your day with early morning pickup in Bucharest, giving you as much time as possible to spend at these awe-inspiring locations. Hop onboard a vehicle and head north until you reach the town of Slanic, known for its all-season spa resorts. Upon arrival, make your way underground into the city's main attraction, the stunning Prahova Salt Mine. Wander through the mine's towering 177-foot-tall (54-m) galleries carved of salt that seem to sparkle like diamonds. Besides being truly breathtaking, the salt in the mine purportedly has powerful health benefits. Even just breathing in the air of the atmosphere is said to help visitors with all kinds of concerns, from allergies and respiratory problems to cardiovascular conditions.
