Extreme Trekking Apolo - Rurrenabque Tour

We leave from La Paz (3.600 m) in a 4WD early in the morning. We take the route to go as far as El Alto city (4.000 mts.), then we take the way to the east cost of the sacred Titikaka lake, then we get a typical Andean landscape, with paja bravas, potato plantations and llamas and alpacas . We descent as far as Charazani town, where we will meet the KALLAWAYAS or Andean doctors , we go down for wriggle ways and get to Los Yungas with great views, and then we reach Apolo town . 1500 m. Hotel

After lunch we go by car (2 hr.) to Machua. Camping

We start descending on an Inca trail also we can see coca plantations, after a hard ways we arrive to Toma Alta (1200 m) 7 hrs.trek. Camping

We still descending as far as Piñalito, where we will find the rests of the Inca culture (7 hrs. trek).. Camp 1.020 mts

We take the small paths, the weather is hotter and we get the forest were we can see with a little bit of lucky different kinds of birds such us: parrots, papagayos, falcons, eagles ,etc, and some mammals typical of this area like: jochis, capiwaras, deers, monkeys, etc. arrive to mamacona (6 hrs.trek) . Camp at 930 mts.

We continuing descending were the path is more difficult to walk for the vegetation and the humidity, finally we will fine an easy way for arrive to Palo Grande (780 m). (7 hrs.trek) Camping

We keep descending as far as mountainous area, where we can see in the distance of the tropical forest the area of the Tuhichi valley .Arrive to Eslabon (600 m). (7 hrs.trek). Camping

During the trek our local tacan's tribe guide will show us the variety of the medicinal plants and the poison plants. Arrive to pico plancha (550 m) (7 hrs. trek) . Camping

Finnally we will reach the Tuhichi river, from There we will sail (1.30 hrs.) by motor canoe to San José de Uchupiamonas where is the hamlet of the tacana tribe. (5 Hrs treck). Camping

Sailing down to the entrance to the Beni river (6 hrs). Camping riversid

Sailing down to Rurrenabaque, the most famous Bolivia's jungle city (4 Hrs). Hotel

3 hrs. drive in a 4WD to Santa Rosa, 3 hrs sail in the river Yacuma the Bolivian Natural ZOO where we will see animals like: monkeys, alligators, pink dolphins, capiwaras, turtles and many kind of birds. Camping.

In the morning we will go to explore the terrain and look for the anacondas the worlds biggest snake. Return to the camping (aprox 5 hrs trek), after lunch return to Rurrenabaque. Hotel

Return to La Paz by commercial flight.
