Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bagdogra / NJP - Darjeeling 93 KMS

  Assistance at the airport on arrival and drive to Darjeeling
  
  DARJEELING:
  Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the "Queen of the Hills", it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having "A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth".

• Day 2 : Darjeeling

  Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Khangchendzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight and Ghoom Monastery which is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill.
  
  Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Center(closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate(from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.

• Day 3 : Darjeeling - Pelling 75 kms

  Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Pelling.
  
  PELLING
  Located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok Pelling is another serene, mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of 2000 mts(approx) and commands a spectacular view of Mt.Kanchenjunga.
  
  Afternoon half day city tour visiting Rambi, Darap, Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Fall and Rock Garden.

• Day 4 : Pelling - Gangtok 127 kms

  Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangtok.
  
  GANGTOK:
  At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travelers delight.
  
  Later proceed for half day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Cottage Industry and Bakthang Falls.

• Day 5 : Gangtok

  Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters.
  
  Also visit Baba Mandir

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING FOR NORTH BENGAL AND SIKKIM TOURS:
Packages for North Bengal and Sikkim (MONSOON) are based on 04 Categories of hotels.
Elite, Premium on half board (MAP) basis and Deluxe & Standard on bed and breakfast (CP) basis.
Appropriate Non AC Tata Sumo/Jeep will be provided for all the categories depending on the number of passengers
traveling.
Local sightseeing in Gangtok will be done using Non AC Maruti Vans for all categories of hotels as per the regulation of the
local transport associations.
On arrival at NJP please note at NJP Station there are 02 Exit gates for passengers and clients are requested to come near
the main exit gate.
Supplement cost for Luxury vehicles (Innova/Scorpio/Xylo/Tavera) have been given separately.
While opting for Innova/Scorpio/Xylo/Tavera please inform the guest to travel light. Only 06 Heads will be allowed in a Xylo /
Scorpio / Innova / Tavera including Child and 08 Heads in Non Ac Tata Sumo / Similar including Child.
In case of any diversion due to landslide/road block any additional cost incurred with be payable directly by the guest.
In this sector the same vehicle – irrespective of the vehicle type is not allowed to do the entire tour due to various restrictions
at each destinations. Vehicles will be changed and our executives will keep the guests informed about the same.
Vehicle provided is as per the itinerary and not at disposal basis.
A lot of times vehicles are not allowed to go up to the hotels in Gangtok which are located in the main town area due to
restrictions for vehicle to enter the city during the day time. In such cases the vehicle will drop the guests to the taxi stand
and arrange for a local taxi to take them to the hotels. In normal course the drivers will pay for this taxi themselves, however
in cases where the driver is not carrying enough money the guests would be requested to bear this cost for the intercity
transfer to the hotel and this amount will be refunded to the guest on actual basis.
All guests are requested to carry documents (04 passport size snaps and copies of valid Indian Photo ID address proof)
Normal Check in and checkout time of hotel is 1200 hours.
It is to be noted that in case, you are arriving by train in the late evening / night & are departing early morning, it is suggested
for you to spend a night in SILIGURI. In such situation of late arrival & early departure, if you have not opted for a halt at
Siliguri, then you will have to wait at the Waiting / Retiring Room of the station. Our driver will be meeting you at 0600 hrs in
the morning for arrival transfer. This has been planned keeping your security factors in mind.
Few hotels have a system of providing room heater on request & extra payment. Heater charges are not included in the cost
& thus you will have to settle it directly with the hotels before checkout. The charges vary from Rs.200.00 to Rs.300.00 per
room per night.
In our area most of the hotels do not have lift, The guests will have to climb stairs to reach the rooms. In case they have
problems with blood pressure, breathing, knee & heart or if they cannot climb the higher floors, we will request you to report
this problem immediately so that we are careful in assigning Hotels which will be more convenient than the ones
quoted/reserved.
Drivers come from remote places and are not very educated and may not be able to communicate effectively with the
guests.
As the vehicles & drivers change regularly, we request you to be very careful with personal belongings. Once left in the
vehicle there is almost nil or little chance of getting them back.
Due to shortage in space for parking at most of the hotels the vehicle may be parked a little away from the entrance of the
hotel (specially when your hotel is located in the main town areas).
Sikkim & Darjeeling is a hilly area & change is weather is a regular feature. It is advisable that light layer clothing should be
carried always.

Payment Procedure
For bookings the Procedure will be as follows.
You are requested to deposit 50% advance payment on the confirmation of a tour and balance payment at least 07 days
prior to the date of travel.
