Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. (Luggage can be left at the bell desk.) Meet your tour guide at your hotel and begin exploring Hanoi City. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake – the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, dating back to the 6th century. Explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you may have the chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh (subject to schedule), visit the stilt houses where he lived and worked (1954– 1969), and the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Note: Modest dress is required (shoulders and knees covered) when visiting mausoleums, temples, and pagodas. Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, and from 15 June – 15 August annually for maintenance (visitors can still take photos outside and explore the surrounding area). Enjoy Indian Cuisine lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university (11th century). After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and depart for Hoa Lu – Tam Coc, enjoying the picturesque landscapes of rural Vietnam along the way. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh Province, visit Hoa Lu, the ancient royal capital of Vietnam. Here, explore the historic Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple, dating back to the 10th century, and learn about the heroic struggles of these kings against foreign invasions. Continue to Tam Coc, located just 10 km from Hoa Lu. After a delicious Indian cuisine lunch, embark on a peaceful bamboo boat ride along the Hoang Long River, rowed by local villagers. Pass through the famous “Three Caves” (Tam Coc), natural limestone grottoes that offer cool shade and tranquil beauty. Along the journey, witness daily riverside life, local fishermen at work, and the breathtaking karst landscapes that have earned Tam Coc the nickname “Halong Bay on land.” After the excursion, return to Hanoi. Enjoy a welcome drink, receive a cruise briefing, and check in to your cabin. 13:15 hrs: Lunch served on board while cruising through the magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admiring the stunning limestone formations of Halong Bay. 16:00 hrs: Guided visit to Thien Canh Son Cave (or a similar stalactite cave depending on cruise). 17:20 hrs: Return to the cruise. Relax on deck, enjoy the sunset, or take advantage of happy hour at the bar. 18:00 hrs: Join the Cooking Demonstration & Food Décor Class with the cruise chef. 19:00 – 21:00 hrs: Dinner served at the onboard restaurant. 21:00 – 22:00 hrs: Optional evening activities: Squid fishing with the crew, karaoke, or simply relax in your cabin.
