Gulmarg is located 52 km from Srinagar. Gulmarg has been a resort for the kings like Yosuf Shah Chak and Jahangir who used to visit frequently. The old name of Gulmarg was " Gaurimarg", the name of Lord Shiva's wife. Yousuf Shah Chak changed its name to Gulmarg, meaning the place of roses. Gulmarg is easily accessible from Srinagar or Srinagar Airport (SXR), the capital of Kashmir, in under 2 hours by car or bus. Just 1 hour on the way is the town of Tangmarg, a key tourist attraction and also a main destination for skiers riding down from Gulmarg during the winter months. From Tangmarg, the Gulmarg plateau is just 30 minutes travel. The slopes of Afarwat Hills of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayan Chain feast one of the longest and highest ski slopes in Asia.

Day 1 Arrive Srinagar

Arrive Srinagar Airport, assistance on arrival and proceed to hotel/house boat for check-in. Srinagar is also known as "Paradise on Earth" & "The Venice of Asia". Afternoon free. Dinner & Overnight at hotel / houseboat.

Day 2 Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar (85 Kms One Way)

After breakfast leave for full day excursion tour of Sonamarg (9000 fts. a.s.l) the "The Golden Meadow. Sonamarg is the beginning of the enchanted journey into a natural wonderland, Surrounded by mountains up to 5300 meters high the valley is divide by a spur of the "Thajwas Range". Return back to Srinagar for Dinner & Overnight in hotel / houseboat.

Day 3 Srinagar - Local Sightseeing

Srinagar is also known as "Paradise on Earth" & "The Venice of Asia". Afternoon leave for Srinagar tour of Mughal Gardens visiting Cheshmashahi (The Royal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar (The Abode of Love). famous Shankracharya Temple. Dinner overnight at hotel / houseboat.

Day 4 Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar (96 Kms One Way)

After breakfast leave hotel / houseboat & proceed for full day excursion tour of Pahalgam (7200 fts a.s.l.) "village of Shepherds") en route visiting the world famous Saffron growing fields, Awantipura ruins (9th Century) & Marlon Temple (Sun Temple, Pahalgam is famous for Indian film industry, some trekking routes & also base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage. Return back to Srinagar for dinner & overnight in hotel / houseboat.

Day 5 Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (58 Kms One Way)

After breakfast leave houseboat / hotel & proceed for full day excursion tour of Gulmarg (8700 fts a.s.l.) " Meadow of Flowers". Gulmarg has a famous Golf Course during summer (which is among the highest 18-hole golf course in the world) & ski Resort during winter. Return back to Srinagar for dinner & overnight in hotel / houseboat.

Day 6 Departure Srinagar

After breakfast check-out from houseboat / hotel & proceed to Srinagar Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
