Srinagar is the summer capital of the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated in the Kashmir Valley and lies on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. The City is famous for its gardens , Lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits.
Srinagar has a humid subtropical climate with a climate much cooler than what is found in much of the rest of India, due to its moderately high elevation and northerly position.
Srinagar is one of the places that has been called the "Venice of the East" or the " Kashmiri Venice" it is known for its lakes, which include Dal Lake - noted for its houseboats - and Nagin Lake.
Srinagar has some Mughal Gardens, forming a part of those laid by Mughal emperors across the Indian Subcontinent. Those of Srinagar and its close vicinity include Chashma Shahi (the royal fountains); Pari Mahal (the palace of the fairies); Nishat Bagh (the garden of spring); Shalimar Bagh; and the Naseem Bagh.
There are many religious holy places in Srinagar. They include:
1.Hazratbal Shrine
2.Jama Masjid, Srinagar, one of the oldest mosques in Kashmir
3.Hamza Makhdum on "Hari Parbhat"
4.Kheer Bhawani in Ganderbal
5.Hari parbathill hosts shrine of Sarika Mata Temple

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Srinagar

Dal Lake

Arrive Srinagar. Accommodate to houseboat/hotel. This afternoon enjoy a romantic 'Shikara' Ride on Dal Lake. Staying overnight Houseboat/Hotel.

Day 2 Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar

Today after checking out houseboat/hotel on time you will be taken to Pahalgam, the valley of Shepherds, situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, at an altitude of 2130 meters. Explore the countryside on your own at your leisure after a short rest on checking in hotel. Night staying at Pahalgam.

Day 3 Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar

This morning from Srinagar you will be taken to Gulmarg - Meadow of Flowers, situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, and a famous ski resort during the winters. On arrival check in hotel and enjoy leisurely walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snowcapped mountains. You can also enjoy an optional Gandola ride (Cable Car). Evening at hotel and staying overnight there.

Day 4 Srinagar

Today you will visit the famous Mughal Gardens, Shalimar, Nishat / Chasmashahi Gardens known for its beautiful land scrapings and water fountains. In the afternoon enjoy leisure with personal activities. Staying overnight at Houseboat/hotel.

Day 5 Srinagar Onwards Journey

Today on time you will be dropped to the airport for Onwards journey.
