Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

  You will be met on your arrival at Delhi International Airport and transferred to the Colonel’s Retreat. The Colonel’s Retreat is a boutique homestay in South Delhi, offering clean, comfortable airconditioned bedrooms with all modern conveniences. It is located just a short walk from Defence Colony market, which is full of shops and restaurants. Delhi, India’s capital, and a city of over 15 million inhabitants, is where your Indian homestay tour begins. Overnight in Delhi.

• Day 2 : In Delhi

  After breakfast, a full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi visiting - The Red Fort, Friday Mosque - Jama Masjid, The silver street of Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, The Hindu temple - Birla Mandir, The India Gate, The Rashtrapati Bhawan - President's House, The tomb of Emperor Humayun, Qutab Minar and The Bahai Temple. Overnight in Delhi.

• Day 3 : Delhi – Alsisar

  After breakfast, depart for Alsisar by road (250 kms/05 hrs). On your arrival, check-into the Alsisar Mahal. This majestic palace is situated in village Alsisar, is just a short drive away from Mandawa, in the Shekhawati region, known for its painted havelis and frescoes. Alsisar Mahal is a majestic mansion built in an old fort in Rajasthan. Later short sightseeing tour of the Mandawa Castle and the nearby havelies of the Shekhawati region. Overnight in Mandawa.

• Day 4 : Mandawa - Bikaner

  After breakfast, depart for Bikaner by road (190 kms/3 ½ hrs). On your arrival in Bikaner, check-into the Lallgarh Palace. The sprawling Lallgarh palace, is an imposing sandstone structure with Indo-Sarasenic architecture, constructed by Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji in 1902. Rooms at the Lallgarh Palace have exquisite period furnitures, chandeliers, and latticework, rajasthani paintings and hunting trophies. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, billiards and tennis courts. Later sightseeing tour of Bikaner city - visiting The Junagarh fort, Lallgarh palace, Ganga golden jubilee museum and camel breeding farm. Overnight in Bikaner.

• Day 5 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer

  After breakfast, depart for Jaisalmer by road (330 kms/06 hrs). On your arrival in Jaisalmer, check-into the Killa Bhawan. The claim to fame of the Killa Bhawan, is the fact that it is located within the peripheral walls of the Jaisalmer Fort, Jaisalmer’s main tourist attraction. A highlight of the Killa Bhawan, is it’s delightful roof terrace, offering spectacular view of the town, fort and desert beyond. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

• Day 6 : In Jaisalmer

  Breakfast at the hotel followed by a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer visiting Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples and Havelis. Sunset visit to Sam sand dunes including short camel ride. The visit to the Sam Sand Dunes at Sunset will long be remembered by you as the highlight of your Rajasthan tour. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

• Day 7 : Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

  After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur by road (290 kms/05 hrs) . On your arrival in Jodhpur, check-into the Royal Rai’s Villa. Located very close to the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the homestay, run by Mr & Mrs. Rai, is the epitome of luxury and typical Indian hospitality. Overnight in Jodhpur.

• Day 8 : Jodhpur - Udaipur

  Breakfast at the homestay, followed by a sightseeing tour of Jodhpur visiting The Mehrangarh Fort, The Jaswant Thada, The Sardar market. Later depart for Udaipur by road (275 kms/05 hrs), the next stop of your Rajasthan tour. On your arrival in Udaipur, check-into the Pahuna Haveli, one of the best Indian homestay’s. The Pahuna Haveli, is a wonderful example of Mewar architecture, and is renowned for it’s homely atmosphere, and delicious home cooked food. Overnight in Udaipur.

• Day 9 : In Udaipur

  Breakfast at the homestay, followed by a sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon ki bari. A private Boat cruise on the Lake Pichola, is something that you will long remember as one of the highlights of your Rajasthan tour. Overnight in Udaipur.

• Day 10 : Udaipur - Ajmer (Pushkar)

  After breakfast, depart for Ajmer by road (290 kms/05 hrs) . On your arrival in Ajmer, check-into the White House Villa.
  
  Set in the outskirts of Ajmer, and also not too far from the attractions of Pushkar, is the The White House Villa, one of the largest residential properties in Ajmer. Accommodation is in individual cottages set around a garden. The main attraction of Ajmer, besides the temples of nearby Pushkar, is the Dargah Ajmer Shariff, which can be visited this evening. Overnight in Ajmer.

• Day 11 : Pushkar - Jaipur

  Breakfast at the homestay, followed by a sightseeing tour of Pushkar (11 kms ex-Ajmer) visiting the Pushkar Lake - Hindu pilgrims to converge for a holy dip in the sacred Pushkar Lake to "wash away the sins of a lifetime" and also visit ONLY Brahma temple in the world. Later, depart for Jaipur by road (130 kms/2 ½ hrs). Jaipur, also called the Pink city, is the last stop of your Indian homestay tour. On your arrival in Jaipur, check-into the Jai Vilas.

• Day 12 : In Jaipur

  Breakfast at the homestay, followed by a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur visiting Hawa Mahal - The Palace of Winds, The Jantar Mantar, The City Palace and the Amber Fort. Your tour includes a ride up the Fort on an Elephant's back. The memory of the ride up the Fort on a gaily bedecked Elephant, is something that will be remembered by you as a highlight of Indian homestay tour. Overnight in Jaipur.

• Day 13 : Jaipur - Agra
