From Delhi, arrive at Srinagar. Upon arriving at Srinagar, meet and greet with our representative and then check in to your houseboat. These British Raj inspired houseboats, add a unique character to the romantic setting of Srinagar. With their intricately carved cedar, bedrooms and bath, dining room, lounge and a deck open to the lake and the Himalayas beyond. Kashmiri salesmen sail up to the boat to bring you local arts, crafts and produce ranging from shawls to papier mache and from saffron to cherries. Most delightful are the flower men with their sleek shikaras bursting with loud chrysanthemums, deep red velveteen Kashmiri cockscomb, marigolds, roses and narcissi, all in full bloom in the winters.
As the day comes to a close, you can witness the Kashmiri side of Himalayas turning from blue to rose and then to lavender in the last light from the edge of your houseboat that floats on the tranquil lake.

Start the day with the Mughal Gardens. You will visit Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan, brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir himself for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background.
An experience not to be missed is the in the Shikara Ghat to ride the Shikaras onDal Lake visiting floating and vegetable gardens amongst other sights.

An excursion to Sonmarg awaits you today. Sonmarg is one of the smallest resorts in Kashmir, lying in the heart of a gorgeous valley carved by the river Sindh. Known as Golden Meadow, this place means golden path thanks to the bloom of yellow crocuses that fill this valley in the spring. This picturesque Sind valley has the densely populated slopes and many varieties of alpine flowers as the backdrop on one side.
A gushing river is the highlight of this meadow, flowing down from snowy heights into the dense woodlands. As the Glaciers come down as a stream from the Himalayas, there are many camping sites around the thick forest cover of Sycamore, alpine flowers, silver birch, fir and pine. These dense forests are the perfect covers for trekking.

After the Golden Meadow, it's time today for the Flowery Meadow. Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) is 2730M above the sea level. The 2.5 hours drive will take you to a resort on the top. On arrival, check-in and head out to the wonderful Cable Car from Gulmarg to Kongdoor and is known as the Gondola Lift. As you move over the hilly peaks, it's an awe-inducing experience thanks to the pristine beauty of Mother Earth.
The car passes over the pine forests, starting from a height of 2690M above sea level and rises up to 3090M to reach Kongdoor. The majestic view of the glorious green hilly terrains and the panoramic view of the picturesque surroundings offer the greatest vistas ever.

From Gulmarg, trek or take a pony ride to Khilanmarg, it's a fun trek with lifetime memories of the most incredible scenic views of the surrounding dense green forests and secluded valleys. Every single angle looks like a DSLR shot waiting to happen. Khilanmarg itself is a small cute fragrant valley, with a blast of colors, charm and a pleasant ambiance. It looks like a beautiful Kashmir carpet with multi-colored flowers covering the whole region. The soft cool breeze loaded with the flowery fragrance is enough to make anyone rejuvenated.

After breakfast, drive to the Valley of Shepherds - Pahalgam via Srinagar. The drive will be alongside Saffron fields, pine forest, and the Lidder River. Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, Pahalgam (2,130M) was once a humble shepherd village with breathtaking views. Now it is Kashmir's premier resort town, cool even during the height of summer when the maximum temperature does not exceed 25°C.
After check in at the hotel, drive down to Betaab Valley. At 2530M, this picturesque valley has sapphire like waters, green fields, and meadows (The “Deodar trees*”) to add the charming beauty of this heavenly valley.

Today is for Aru Valley. Trek up to the Lidderwat and the Kolahoi glacier starts with the valley. The little village of Aru is actually the first stage from Pahalgam on the trek to Lidderwat and the Kolahoi glacier. The drive to Aru Valley is an interesting one with the Lidder River 11-km upstream following us. Aru is where the Gujars live in their log huts with their flocks of sheep and goats, they tend to move to higher pastures during summers. Later in the afternoon, take a pony ride to the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine.
