In this ladakh holiday experience Indus River rafting along with camping at spectacular locations. Much easier and quieter than the Zanskar River, the River Indus is suitable for Grade II and III trips. The river, which originates in Tibet, flows down through Ladakh, past Leh, and then passes into Pakistan.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi - Leh

  Welcome upon arrival at the Leh airport (3,500 mt) and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free for acclimatisation.
• Day 2 : Leh

  Morning after breakfast we will proceed to visit Sankar monastery, Peace Pagoda and Changspa Chorten. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
• Day 3 : Leh – Hemis – Stakna – Thiksey

  Morning after breakfast we’ll drive 50 kms to visit the famous Hemis Monastery and later drive back to Stakna. Upon arrival we’ll meet the rafting team who will give you instructions on rafting and safety. Raft along smooth river to reach Thiksey. Enroute we’ll stop at Stakna bridge and have lunch. Afternoon Raft again and stop at Thiksey. Overnight stay in tents.
• Day 4 : Spituk – Thiksey

  After an early breakfast we will drive to visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. After that we’ll drive back to our camps and start rafting to reach Spituk. Lunch enroute. Checkin at the camps in Spituk for overnight stay.
• Day 5 : Spituk – Nimu

  Morning after an early breakfast proceed to visit Spituk Monastery situated at the end of the Leh airport. Later drive back to the rafting camp and start the final part of the rafting till Nimu. Rafting will finish after the confluence of River Zanskar and Indus at Nimu. Later proceed for a short village visit to Nimu. Overnight stay at camps.
• Day 6 : Nimu – Likir – Leh

  Morning after breakfast proceed to visit the Likir Monastery which has an impressive sitting statue of Maitreya Buddha. On the way back visit Basgo Monastery. Later drive back to Leh and on arrival checkin at the hotel for overnight stay.
• Day 7 : Leh Depart

  Morning after breakfast transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi
