Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Katmandu Airport

Arrival at Katmandu airport and transfer to hotel Radisson /Royal Singi. Evening sightseeing of Pashupathinath temple and Boudhanath Stupa. Program briefing at dinner. Radisson / Hotel Hyatt.

Day 2

Kathmandu- Lhasa Flight

Morning flight to Lhasa at Gongger airport. Drive 50 to 70 KM to city and transfer to hotel The St. Regis Resort Lhasa for overnight stay.

Day 3

Lhasa Sightseeing

Full day sightseeing including places like Potala Palace. Jokhang Temple (ticket cost extra paid by yatris.), and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight stay at Hotel Lhasa.

Day 4

Lhasa – Sigatse by Train (300 kms)

Return by Train Train to Sigatse. Sigatse is another big city in Tibet. Overnight stay at Hotel. 4 star hotel.

Day 5

Lhasa - Ali Flight - Drive to Mansarovar ( 4560m) (14,500 ft)

Transfer to Airport to fly out Ali Airport(4,500 m) and drive approx 300 km from Ali to Mansarovar lake. You will be in Chiu Gompa. Stay at the Lodge. Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen. Dormitory accommodation, very close to Mansarovar.Or drive 35 KM to Darchen and stay in hotel Himalaya.

Day 6

Drive to Darchen - Yam dwar & Trek to Dirapuk (15,000 ft)

After Holy dip and religious pooja – hawan etc. Drive to Darchen and continue drives to Yam dwar (8 kms) and start Kailash Parikarama to Diraphuk (13 kms) (1st Day), light lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Dirapuk guesthouse (Dormitory Accommodation). who do not take parikrama will stay at Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

Day 7

Drive to Yam dwar & Trek to Dirapuk (15,000 ft)

After Breakfast - Drive to Yam dwar (8 kms) and start Kailash Parikarama to Diraphuk (14 kms) (1st Day), light lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Dirapuk guesthouse (Dormitory Accommodation). who do not take parikrama will stay at Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

Day 8

Trek to Zuthulphuk (4760 M) (18,000 ft to 18,500 ft ) 22 km

This is the day every pilgrims talk about, the most difficult journey throughout the yatra - trek up to the 18,600ft. (Dolma- la Pass) - descend to Gauri kund and further trek along with the river to Zuthulpuk, dinner & overnight at Zuthulpuk Guesthouse. Yatris who do not wish to continue parikrama will return by special ambulance and stay in Hotel Himalaya 4 star at Darchen.

Day 9

On To Ali: Zuthulphuk – Darchen – Ali

After breakfast we trek around 6 kms and will be reaching to the point where the jeeps will be waiting for drive to Darchen. After lunch proceed to Ali by road and overnight stay at Ali Hotel.( 300 kms , 4 to 5 hrs)

Day 10

Flight to Lhasa

Transfer to Airport and fly to Lhasa. Overnight stay at Lhasa

Day 11

Lhasa-Kathmandu/ Delhi Flight – Departure

Transfer to airport to fly back to Kathmandu/Delhi and proceed to onward journeys

Dr Arun Gupta Kailash 2019: It was someting like "Jana tha Japaan pahunch gaye Cheen". Last year we friends were planning a Europe tour in May 19. One !day I got an information from one of my friend in other group ( Sheela Tai) that they are joining a trip to Kailash Mansarovar in May 19. This trip was there in back of my mind since long. So I cancelled Europe trip, got some GAALIYAN from batchmates & joined this fabulous group & Kailaash trip organised by Indo Nepal Tourism Delhi Believe me at no point I regretted my decision. Luckily some of my batchmates also joined me later. Whole trip was arranged flawlessly, was quite entertaining, adventurous & a life time experience.
