Kilimasai Marathon - 5-Day Adventure & Culture Safari Tour

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be warmly received by our team and begin your journey toward the forested slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. On the way, we’ll take you to Materuni Village, nestled in the foothills of the mountain, for an immersive coffee experience. You’ll learn about Arabica coffee cultivation, take part in traditional roasting and brewing, and enjoy a fresh cup prepared Chagga-style. The tour also includes a short nature walk and a locally prepared lunch. After the tour, you’ll continue to your preferred lodge near Machame or Moshi, where you’ll settle in and relax for the evening. Accommodations: Budget Standard High end

After breakfast, we’ll drive you to the Kilimasai Marathon base for your official pre-race briefing and kit collection. You’ll get final instructions, meet fellow runners, and soak in the excitement. Once everything’s set, we’ll bring you back to the lodge for a relaxed afternoon perfect for light walks, stretching, or simply enjoying the view. After an early breakfast, we’ll head to the marathon venue where you’ll take part in your chosen category, 10K, Half, or Full Marathon, surrounded by stunning scenery and a vibrant community spirit. After the race, we’ll provide refreshments and a gentle recovery before returning to the lodge. The afternoon is yours to relax, enjoy a massage, or reflect on your achievement. Today we’ll take you deeper into the heart of Kilimanjaro. You’ll visit a local Chagga village, hear traditional stories, enjoy music, and learn about herbal practices and farming. We’ll then guide you on a scenic walk to the Materuni Waterfalls, followed by a hands-on coffee roasting demo and a delicious local lunch. After breakfast and checkout, we’ll take you on a half-day safari in Arusha National Park, a beautiful blend of forest, savannah, and crater lakes. After the safari, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure.
