Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival Jhansi

    On arrival at Jhansi railway station, transfer to Orchha (20 kms). On arrival in Orchha, check into your hotel for a stay of 1 night. Once the capital of the Bundelas, Orchha is now just a village set amidst a complex of well preserved temples and palaces. After Freshen up Proceed for sightseeing tour of Orchha. The tour of Orchha takes you to the Jehangir Mahal - the largest of the palaces , the Raj Mahal with its murals and the Raj Praveen Mahal built near a garden ,You would also visit Dinman Hardaul`s palace with its interesting story. The temples of orchha are highly preserved. The two main temples are the Ram Raja Temple with its lofty spires and the Chaturbhuj temple .Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 2 Orchha– Khajuraho (160 Kms / 5 Hours)

    This morning you will be driven southwards to the temple town of Khajuraho . On arrival in Khajuraho, check into your hotel for a stay of 1 night.

    In the temple architecture of India , the Khajuraho complex remains unique. One thousand years ago, under the generous and artistic patronage of the Chandela Rajput kings, 85 temples, magnificent in form and richly carved, came up on one site, near the village of Khajuraho. The amazingly short span of 100 years, from 950 AD - 1050 AD, saw the completion of all the temples, in an inspired burst of creativity. Today, of the original 85, only 22 have survived the ravages of time; these remain as a collective paean to life, to joy and to creativity; to the ultimate fusion of man with his creator.

    Later this afternoon, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Khajuraho with a visit to the Western group of Temples consisting of the massive Lakhshmana Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu, the lakshmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu`s consort lakshm, the Khandariya mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali.

  • Day 3 Khajuraho – Panna

    After breakfast, you will also visit the Archaelogical museum with its collection of stone sculptures of the Chandela dynasty, the Eastern group of Temples and visit the Jain temples of Parsvnath, Adinath,Shanti nath and the Hindu temples of Vamana and Brahma/Hanuman both dedicated to lord Vishnu.After lunch transfer to Panna. On arrival in Panna, check into your hotel after freshen up Enjoy an evening safari at the Panna National Park .Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 4 Panna – Bandavgarh

    Enjoy a morning After breakfast, drive to Bandhavgarh. (260 kms / 7 hrs). On arrival check into your hotel. Bandavgarh is a relatively small National Park; compact, yet full of game. The density of the Tiger population at Bandhavgarh is the highest known in India . This is also White Tiger country. These have been found in the old state of Rewa for many years.

    Time permitting, enjoy an evening safari into the National Park.Besides the tiger, the other animals which can be spotted here are the great Gaur, or Indian Bison, the Sambar and Barking Deer are a common sight, and Nilgai are to be seen in the more open areas of the park.Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 5 Bandhavgarh

    Enjoy a morning and evening safari at the National Park.Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 6 Bandhavgarh – Jabalpur

    Enjoy a morning safari. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Jabalpur (200 kms / 6 hrs). On arrival in Jabalpur , check into your hotel . Pleasure resort and capital of the Gond Kings during the 12th century, Jabalpur was later the seat of the Kalchuri dynasty. The Marathas held sway over Jabalpur until 1817, when the British wrested it from them and left their impression on the spacious cantonment with its colonial residences and barracks. Today Jabalpur is an important administrative centre with commercial activity

    Time permitting, you can visit the Madan Mahal Fort which was built by the Gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah, in 1116 atop a rocky hill - the fort dominates the skyline and provides a panoramic view of the town and the country side around it.

    Later this evening drive to Bedhaghat (23 kms) to visit the Marble Rocks. Boating facilities are available from November to May and while boating by moonlight is a thrilling experience , the Marble Rocks have recently been floodlit, adding a new dimension to their splendour.

    Soaring in glittering splendour, the Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat rise to a hundred feet on either side of the Narmada . The serene loveliness of the scene is one of cool quiet, the sunlight sparkling on the marble-white pinnacles and casting dappled shadows on the pellucid waters. These white rocks with views of black and dark green volcanic seams are truly majestic, and produce a magical effect on moonlit nights.

    The holy river flows by tranquilly flanked by the towering cliffs which reflect in it like a mirror the changing moods of nature. A little distance away, it becomes turbulent as it plunges in a mighty water fall known as Dhuandhar .Later return to the hotel in Jabalpur . Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 7 Jabalpur –departure

    After breakfast, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Jabalpur that includes: Sangram Sagar and Bajnamath : These medieval constructions were built by the famous Gond King, Sangram Shah, between 1480-1540.Rani Durgavati Memorial and Museum : Dedicated to the memory of the great Queen Durgavati, it is her memorial and museum which houses a fine collection of sculptures, inscriptions and prehistoric relics.Tilwara Ghat From where Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in the Narmada , and venue of the open session of the Tripuri Congress in 1939.Later proceed to the railway station to connect train for Onward Journey
