Madurai is one of the oldest cities of India located in Tamil Nadu. It was ruled by Pandya kings for the longest time in its history and is constructed in the form of a lotus. Madurai is considered to be the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu. The place has a great cultural heritage and strong mythological history to be passed on to the coming generations. The reason most people visit the city is the Meenakshi Temple, dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi with a sanctum for her consort, Sundareshwarar. Thiruparankundram is one of the important old temples dedicated to Lord Muruga(Karthikeya) and is located on a hillock approximately 8 km from the city. Gandhi Museum houses Gandhi’s bloodstained dhoti and some other artefacts. The city is known for its lively and bustling markets. Shopping here is fun and affordable. Another thing Madurai is popular for its amazing street food. Heritage walks are conducted throughout the day. Those who wish to know more about the freedom struggle, though, will be interested in the extensive text housed here. Tamil speakers and long-term visitors may be interested in the classes and workshops offered in subjects as diverse as t’ai chi and local herbs.

  • Day 1

    Madurai

    Arrival at Madurai Airport/Railway Station and transfer to Hotel. In the evening proceed for darshan at Sri Meenakshi SundareswararTemple. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Madurai.

  • Day 2

    Madurai

    CAfter breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Madurai– visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace,ThirupparankundramTemple, Alagar Koil and Gandhi Museum. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Madurai.

  • Day 3

    Madurai – Rameshwaram (175 KMS)

    After early breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Rameshwaram, on arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Rameshwaram – visit RamanathaswamyTemple, Agnitheertham, RamjharokaTemple, Dhanushkodi and Adam’s Bridge. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Rameshwaram.

  • Day 4

    Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari (320 KMS)

    After early breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Kanyakumari, on arrival check into Hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Kanyakumari – visit Suchithram Temple, Devi.Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Rock, Gandhi Memorial and Triveni Sangam. Evening watch the most beautiful Sunset of Kanyakumari. Overnight stay at the Hotel in Kanyakumari.

  • Day 5

    Kanyakumari – Trivandrum (175 KMS)

    After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Trivandrum/Madurai for onward journey. Enroute visit the Sri Padmanabhapuram Palace, Also visit the Sri padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum which is the richest temple in the world, Museum, Secratariat etc and later drop to Airport/Railway Station for onward journey.

  • 29-16 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour – 20 % of total tour cost
  • 07-03 Days prior to the operation of the booked tour – 50 % of total tour cost
