Your adventure begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Arusha. You will drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before starting the trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp. Driving Time: 4-5 Hours. Hiking Time: 3-4 Hours. Meals: Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp.
After breakfast continue hiking through the heath and moorland zone while enjoying spectacular views of the Shira Plateau en route to Shira 1 Camp. Hiking Time: 5-6 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Shira 1 Camp.
A shorter trek today allowing your body to acclimatize to increasing altitude while crossing the beautiful Shira Plateau and moving to Shira 2 Camp. Hiking Time: 4-5 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Shira 2 Camp.
Climb gradually to Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp. This important acclimatization day greatly improves your chances of reaching the summit. Hiking Time: 6-8 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Barranco Camp.
Climb the famous Barranco Wall before trekking through valleys and ridges to Karanga Camp. This day continues the ascent with varied terrain. Hiking Time: 4-5 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Karanga Camp.
Continue the trek to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. After an early dinner rest and prepare for the midnight climb to the summit. Hiking Time: 3-4 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Overnight at Barafu Camp.
Start the summit attempt shortly after midnight and climb to Uhuru Peak at 5895m, the highest point in Africa, where you will experience an unforgettable sunrise. Descend to Mweka Gate where you will receive your summit certificate before driving back to Arusha. Hiking Time: 10-14 Hours. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch.
