Package Overview

A 7 day guided climb of Mount Kilimanjaro starting and ending in Arusha. The itinerary covers the Londorossi Gate entry, progression across rainforest, heath and moorland, the Shira Plateau, ascent past Lava Tower, acclimatization on Barranco and Karanga Camps, approach to Barafu Camp for summit attempt and descent via Mweka Gate. Hiking times range daily from 3 to 14 hours with driving transfer at the start. Meals and camping equipment are provided and climbers receive a summit certificate upon reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895m.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arusha To Londorossi Gate To Mti Mkubwa Camp

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before starting the trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp. Driving Time: 4–5 Hours. Hiking Time: 3–4 Hours. Meals: Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 2 Mti Mkubwa Camp To Shira 1 Camp

After breakfast, continue hiking through the heath and moorland zone while enjoying spectacular views of the Shira Plateau. Hiking Time: 5–6 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Shira 1 Camp.
Day 3 Shira 1 Camp To Shira 2 Camp

Todays trek is shorter, allowing your body to acclimatize to the increasing altitude while crossing the beautiful Shira Plateau. Hiking Time: 4–5 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Shira 2 Camp.
Day 4 Shira 2 Camp To Lava Tower To Barranco Camp

Climb gradually to Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. This is an important acclimatization day and greatly improves your chances of reaching the summit. Hiking Time: 6–8 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Barranco Camp.
Day 5 Barranco Camp To Karanga Camp

Climb the famous Barranco Wall before trekking through valleys and ridges to Karanga Camp. Hiking Time: 4–5 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Karanga Camp.
Day 6 Karanga Camp To Barafu Camp

Continue to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. After an early dinner, rest and prepare for the midnight climb. Hiking Time: 3–4 Hours. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Overnight: Barafu Camp.
Day 7 Barafu Camp To Uhuru Peak To Mweka Gate To Arusha

Start your summit attempt shortly after midnight. Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, and enjoy the unforgettable sunrise. Descend to Mweka Gate where you will receive your summit certificate before driving back to Arusha. Hiking Time: 10–14 Hours. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
