Your adventure begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before starting the trek through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp. The day includes significant driving and an initial hike as you enter the mountain environment. Driving time is approximately 4 to 5 hours and hiking time is approximately 3 to 4 hours. Meals provided include lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Mti Mkubwa Camp.

After breakfast continue hiking through the heath and moorland zone while enjoying spectacular views of the Shira Plateau. This full trekking day allows further acclimatization as elevation increases. Hiking time is approximately 5 to 6 hours. Meals include breakfast lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Shira 1 Camp.

Todays trek is shorter to allow your body to acclimatize to the increasing altitude while crossing the beautiful Shira Plateau. This acclimatization focused day includes moderate hiking and time to rest. Hiking time is approximately 4 to 5 hours. Meals provided are breakfast lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Shira 2 Camp.

Climb gradually to Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. This is an important acclimatization day and greatly improves your chances of reaching the summit. The route offers varied terrain and altitude change requiring sustained trekking. Hiking time is approximately 6 to 8 hours. Meals include breakfast lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Barranco Camp.

Climb the famous Barranco Wall before trekking through valleys and ridges to Karanga Camp. This day includes a famous technical section at the Barranco Wall followed by ridge and valley walking as you continue acclimatizing. Hiking time is approximately 4 to 5 hours. Meals include breakfast lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Karanga Camp.

Continue to Barafu Camp which serves as the base camp for your summit attempt. After an early dinner rest and prepare for the midnight climb to the summit. This is a shorter hiking day to conserve energy before the summit push. Hiking time is approximately 3 to 4 hours. Meals include breakfast lunch and dinner and you will overnight at Barafu Camp.

Start your summit attempt shortly after midnight to reach Uhuru Peak 5895m, the highest point in Africa, and enjoy the unforgettable sunrise. After reaching the summit descend to Mweka Gate where you will receive your summit certificate before driving back to Arusha. This is the longest and most demanding day with significant ascent and descent. Hiking time for the summit day is approximately 10 to 14 hours. Meals include breakfast and lunch.
